Insulation that is
tested, not just promised.
The double triangle on the tool means it can be used for live working, up to 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC. No sampling: every single piece goes through the test.
- 01Voltage test
Every tool is individually tested at 10,000 V AC.
- 02Water test
A full day in water, then three minutes at 10,000 V with no leakage.
- 03Cold test
Chilled to minus 25 degrees. The insulation must neither crack nor break on impact.
- 04Fire test
Ten seconds in a flame. The insulation must extinguish itself.
Slim all
the way down.
On an ordinary insulated screwdriver the insulation is wider than the screw opening, so the blade cannot reach all the way down. On Wiha slim tools it is as slim as the blade itself, so it reaches deep screws in sockets, switches and breakers.
Insulated to the tip
On slimFix and slimBit the insulation goes all the way down to the tip. Only the part of the blade that goes into the screw is bare.
One handle, many blades
slimVario: click the blade out and put another one in. Slotted, PH, PZ and TORX in the same handle, all insulated for 1,000 V.
